A few other parts of Malt Maniacs that are currently finished are the matrix & the monitor (containing more than 30,000 scores
and covering some 10,000 different whiskies at the moment) as well as the Malt Maniacs Awards department with details of our competitions in 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006. The MM MaltMenu provides an easy overview of over a hundred widely available official bottlings, the kind you might find in... a bar. Join the mailinglist if you want to stay updated on events.
Check out the 'Good News / Bad News' box on the Malt Maniacs home page for news on recent additions to the web site.
Enjoy!

The MM Library was the place for quiet study and reflection. While The Archive contains every
issue of our E-zine that we've published so far, this library was designed to offer a selection of
web pages and PDF files designed to increase the knowledge and appreciation of single malt
whisky - Scotch, Irish, American, Japanese and others. One of the pages that has survived
the re-structuring is the revised Lex-icon; our overview of all malt whisky distilleries in the
whole wide world, maintained by our own professor of Xenomaltology; Dr. Lex Kraaijeveld.
More
extensive details for the malt and grain whisky distilleries in Scotland can be found in
the Distillery Data section on Malt Madness. That site section contains detailed profiles on
every malt whisky distillery in Scotland with details about its history, its production regime
and tasting notes on at least half a dozen different expressions.
The maniacs are dedicated to learning about malt whisky and sharing their knowledge and
perspectives with other malt lovers. However, we don't have all the answers; it doesn't hurt
to pick up a book every once in a while. Our Book Reviews could help you choose one.
Sorry, be advised that this is an 'orphan' page!
When we re-launched the Malt Maniacs website in 2006 (after a massive crash
of the original Malt Madness site), we had megalomaniac plans
to develop the
ultimate whisky web site. We thought we would need lots of different sections
on this site to provide enough room for all the wonderful fresh whisky articles
that we would be writing. As it turned out, we were a little too optimistic...
Shortly after the re-launch of Malt Maniacs, various 'social media' like Twitter
and Facebook started to emerge. They filled a lot of the needs & wants that
we had intented to fill with some of the new site sections, so a few years later
we decided to simplify the structure of Malt Maniacs again and remove a few
of those extra pages - and
this 'library' page was one of those pages. We've
kept it on-line though, to prevent visitors from encountering too many broken
links. Please select one of the options at the left to visit more recent web pages.
