> Hit List - Wanna know which single malts I like best?
Next to my alphabetical Track Record I used to keep a complete Best-to-Worst list of all the single malts I've seriosuly sampled. When I passed the 500 malts mark in 2003 this system of double bookkeeping became too much too handle. What's more, listing some very rare independent bottlings that were on the shelves a decade ago seemed a bit pointless. So, apart from my all time favourits in the 'galery of glory' (90 points or more) my new Hit List only contains the 'best and brightest' that are currently available. Please check out my
Track Record or the older entries in my chronological Liquid Log if you're looking for a more 'historical' perspective.

> Shit List - Wanna know which single malts I like worst?
Fortunately, most single malts I've tried scored at least 60 points.
That means that I've enjoyed them - even if there are 'better' malts available.
There are, however, some notable exceptions. Even though I did find some redeeming qualities in the malts that scored between 50 and 60 points, I think they are 'avoidable' - there are simply too many excellent alternatives available. As for the handful of single malts that ended up below 50 points (which means I actively dislike them): they are the proverbial 'exceptions to the rule'. I dare you to try some of these
bottom shelf bottles and prove me wrong ;-)

> Bang-For-Your-Buck List - The single malts that offer the best value.
The malts at the top of my Hit List are not always the most affordable ones.
In fact they usually are not - but there are some friendly priced gems available.
This list offers an overview of some malts that offer the most
'bang' for your 'buck'.

> Stock List - An overview of the bottles in my collection and on my shelves.
This page is meant mainly for my own personal use. Just in case you're interested, you can take a glance a list of the bottles in my current drinking collection , as well as my reserve stock. I also have a trading stock of bottles I'm willing to swap. Just send me an offer I can't refuse...
